Totally too simple to actually be a Metroidvania, but a fun little project to test out Godot.  Its only a few minutes long but I hope its at least not bad.

There is a build for Web, WIndows, and Linux.

Controls:

WASD for Movement, Mouse to aim, LMB to Shoot ... simple as ...

I really liked the stealth aspect of finding a spot where bullets can't hit you and taking everything out one by one,

It's simple but I enjoyed it. I could see this concept working for a metroidvania type game with more exploration and upgrade options.

Very nice, and great choice of engine! I hope you keep working on it <3

Honestly it’s a good game :)

the fact that it uses fixed screens kinda reminded me of some very oldschool shooters that also had no scrolling, with the added metroid vania progression added here.

One thing missing that could be a cool addition, would be to have some various shot powerups to add a bit more variety if you plan to keep adding to the game.

None the less the game is solid feels good to play, and i like the fact that you made the destructible turrets not respawn to help with the backtracking, and the auto health refill when you defeat a boss.

Hey thanks man, I do agree that multiple weapon types and a few other upgrades would be a great addition.  I'd absolutely love to continue developing this at a later date, once I have more time.  So what have you been up to since Mechjam?  Saw that you updated your game a few times.  You think you'll participate in Cosmic Horror Jam?

Well since it’s a jam etry i totally get not having time for multiple weapons, especially considering how much time it can take to work on the more metroid vania elements like persistance and connected rooms :p

Cool if you plan on continuing dev on the game to add more content, though no worries if you don’t get anytime to do so, post jam projects do be like that sometimes XD

Yeah i’ve had a few updates to get my game a bit closer to what i wanted initially but couldn’t manage during jam time ^^ and well after that i’m trying a bunch of stuff on Blender to see if i can try my hand at something fully 3D.

If i can i’d like to, it’s a cool theme (even if i don’t kreally know if i could pull of some intertesting cosmic horror stuff :p) and also i’m not sure about my schedule yet.

I know i missed the Kaiju jam that i wanted to participate last time, so i hope i get more luck this time !
